By 2020 Indigenous recruitment rates will increase by 20%

 

Open Learning Will Achieve This By:

• Identifying and promoting indigenization of OL curriculum by developing an open textbook on Indigenous histories;
• Fund the completion of two research projects into indigenization of curriculum with a focus on educational technology and distance learning;
• In collaboration with Indigenous researchers and communities, harvest research findings to identity technology-enhanced teaching and learning practices that support and promote Indigenous teaching and learning;
• Promote implementation of these practices among course development teams and Open Learning Faculty Members;
• Identifying, where possible, current Indigenous learner success and retention measures and rates in Open Learning courses and programs
